The ProtoLayers Conference 2024, held on May 30th in Prague, brought together builders, researchers, and blockchain enthusiasts from across the globe. As a community-focused event, our aim was to provide a platform for high-quality speakers and technical presentations, increasing collaboration and innovation in the world of ethereum.

Key Metrics

  • 101 checked-in attendees out of 216 total sign-ups (50% show-up rate)

  • 17 speakers

  • 15+ projects represented through keynotes and community partnerships

  • 6 weeks timeline to organize the conference

Community-Driven Approach

ProtoLayers Conference has always been, and will continue to be, a community-driven event. We strive to showcase high-quality speakers and provide a platform for smaller, up-and-coming startups to share their ideas and innovations. By maintaining a strong focus on technical content and enabling a collaborative atmosphere, we aim to drive the adoption of Web3.

Presentations and Recordings

In the coming days, all presentations from the conference will be uploaded to our YouTube channel. We encourage you to subscribe, revisit your favorite talks and share them with your network. Stay tuned for the release of these valuable resources.

You can always check the agenda on our website.

Future Plans

Building on the success of this year's event, we are excited to announce that the next ProtoLayers Conference will take place in Bangkok, likely just before DevCon. We look forward to bringing together an even larger community of builders and innovators to explore the latest developments in modular blockchain technology.

Support Our Mission

We believe in maintaining transparency with our community. Out of the total event costs of $7,000, we managed to raise only $2,000 through sponsorships. Despite the financial challenges, we decided to move forward with the event, staying true to our commitment to providing a platform for builders and innovators.

We want to share this information with you to emphasize that ProtoLayers Conference is not your typical mainstream event. It is a builders-oriented conference, and we strongly believe in maintaining transparency with our community.

We would like to acknowledge the support of Optimism, who contributed $1,000, and an undisclosed project that also provided $1,000 in sponsorship.
